TEIN Super Street Damper Product Launch


	TEIN Super Street Damper Product Launch in Perth Tuesday 8th November 2005 @ The South Perth Yacht Club XSpeed, Fulcrum Suspension and WA Suspension held the official Product Launch for the new TEIN Super Street Suspension designed specifically for Australian Road Conditions on Tuesday the 8th of November 2005 at the function room of the South of Perth Yacht Club in Applecross. Guest speakers on the night were Mr Yoshio Fujimoto, founder and Managing Director of TEIN Japan, and Mr Graham Scudamore-Smith, founder and Managing Director of Fulcrum Suspensions, Queensland Australia, who are the Sole Australian Distributor of TEIN Performance Suspension. The night kicked off with Mr Hanson Yeoh from XSpeed and Mr Russell James from WA Suspension welcoming guests,, followed by an introduction by Mr Rod Ryan from WA Suspension, and Mr Graham Scudamore-Smith. This was immediately followed by a short video introduction of TEIN - the company, its profile, and its involvement in Motorsports whereby all their products are developed upon. Straight after the video presentation, Mr Yoshio Fujimoto gave us a speech explaining in further detail TEIN’s company profile and his exploits with World Rally Championship racing, where as a Works driver for Toyota Team Europe in 1994 and 1995, was the first Japanese driver ever to win a WRC event in the Safari Rally Kenya in 1995. Mr Fujimoto then handed the microphone over to Mr Graham Scudamore-Smith who then presented an excellent slide presentation with the focus on the new TEIN Super Street Dampers which have been specifically developed for Australian Road Conditions with softer valving and spring rates, making it an ideal overall street cum semi racing system for everyday road cars. Mr Graham Scudamore-Smith also explained the fundamentals of suspension geometry, and why lowering a vehicle excessively will actually cause the vehicle’s handling to be worse than standard. Mr Graham Scudamore-Smith then informed everyone, that the development of the TEIN Super Street Dampers for Holden Commodores and Ford Falcons was in pre-production stage, and will be launched in Australia in early 2006, much to the delight of the V8 fraternity who attended the night. Once the presentation was over, it was time for a photo session with more food and drinks provided by the nice people at the South of Perth Yacht Club, and an informal Q&A session. Overall, about 80 people from the industry attended the trade night, which we deemed a big success.
