XSpeed Performance Centre Grand Opening
Our grand opening held on Sunday the 26th June at our new premises attracted around 800 people throughout the day and it proved to be
a well worthwhile event. The amount of feedback has been tremendous and everyone so far has been impressed with
our new setup and location. We thank you all for turning up and supporting us, and also for the continual positive feedback
which has been excellent. Our new premises take up over 800 square metres, and comprise of a 150 square metre showroom,
a dedicated engine building room, a temperature and humidity controlled dyno room, and a much larger mechanical workshop than
our previous premises. We can now cater for many more cars, and our new premises have allowed us to expand our services to make
the XSpeed Performance Centre your one stop shop. The decision to move to a much larger premises was made when we realsied we
had reached the full potential of our older workshop, and we knew we had to expand in order to become the leading Performance
Centre in Western Australia.
From 1pm onwards, a vast majority of customer, suppliers, and fellow trade competitors rocked up and took advantage provided bbq
food and drink that our boys did such a good job of cooking up. Jack, Joe, Hansel, and Davin all took on the chef role for the
day which was much appreciated and thanks guys, you did a good job. There was an absolute tonne of sausages which were consumed,
and also a heap left over! At least nobody missed out.
Our well experienced tuner Anthony put a couple of cars on the dyno for demonstration runs to show the crowd what its all about.
Our Dyno Dynamics Twin Retarder Chassis Dyno registered a reading of 508HP on a R32 GTR and also 340HP off a very nice
R34 GTR V-Spec. Thanks to our brand new dyno capable of up to 1200HP being in our workshop, and since we are a Shootout Accredited workshop, we
can cater for all your dyno tuning needs. We also do normal power runs, check out our
dyno tuned section for more information.
At 3pm our Feng Shui master Skye Alexander conducted a traditional Chinese ceremony, followed by a ribbon cutting to the main entrance
workshop to symbolise the opening of the new premises. Skye lit some inscents and candles around the workshop and toasted to the house by throwing
some wine onto the workshop floor. Some excellent lion dancing was put on straight after by the Chung Wah association
and it all wrapped up with some superb special celebratory food from the 4 elements of Sky, Ground, River/Sea, and Earth. White wine
was also served to mark this special occasion.
